"Contemporary Scars" a solo show by Lebanese artist Ghalib Hawila. a Lebanese Arabic Calligraphy Artist, combines his background in Graphic Design with a deep understanding of Middle-Eastern heritage and spiritual paths. His unique approach to calligraphy has gained recognition in prestigious exhibitions, including The Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial and the Urban Art Biennale in Germany. With his artwork showcased in both the UK and Beirut, Ghaleb's talent is making a mark in the world of calligraphy and urban art.

 

Through captivating Arabic calligraphy, Ghalib reflects on dramatic events and scarred walls, exploring the contradiction between our outward presentation and inner struggles. Inspired by the wisdom of Khalil Gibran and Rumi, he views scars as doorways to enlightenment and gems where light enters the heart. By sharing his own scars, Ghalib invites viewers to connect on a profound level and embrace their past experiences to pave the way for a brighter future.
